My Aurora Forecast & Alerts

What My Aurora Forecast & Alerts Does

My Aurora Forecast & Alerts is a weather app for people who want to track the Northern Lights. It turns geomagnetic activity and solar data into practical information, helping aurora watchers decide when conditions may be suitable for viewing. The app is aimed at casual observers, travellers and photographers who want more than a general weather forecast.

Forecasts and Activity Data

The app presents the KP index, aurora visibility probabilities and current solar wind information in a more accessible format. A global aurora map shows the forecast oval and helps users understand where activity may be strongest. Forecast views cover short-term conditions as well as longer outlooks, which can be useful when planning an evening outside or a trip to a darker viewing location.

Alerts, Webcams and Solar Views

Push notifications can warn users when auroral activity is expected to increase, so they do not need to keep checking the app manually. Live webcams provide visual checks from selected locations, while solar imagery and related space-weather information add context to the forecast. Together, these tools connect activity on the Sun with the chance of seeing auroras from Earth.
