Alight Motion

Mobile video editing with motion graphics tools

Alight Motion is a mobile video editor for creating animated videos, layered compositions, and motion graphics on Android. It suits creators who need more control than a basic trimming or filter app provides, including users making social videos, music edits, animated titles, and visual effects.

Layers, keyframes, and visual control

The app supports multi-layer projects containing video, graphics, and audio. Keyframe animation lets you set how properties change over time, while timing and easing controls can help make movement feel more deliberate. Vector and bitmap graphics are supported, making it possible to work with both scalable artwork and standard image assets.

• Animate layer properties with keyframes and custom timing.
• Combine video, images, graphics, and audio in one project.
• Use masking, compositing, shadows, borders, and other visual effects.
• Link layers for more advanced movement and character-style animation.

Best for deliberate, detailed editing

Alight Motion is aimed more at hands-on editing than one-tap creation. Its timeline and layer controls provide room for detailed adjustments, but the range of tools can take time to learn if you are new to motion graphics. More complex projects may also place greater demands on the phone than short, simple edits.

Popularity and user rating

Listed in Video Players & Editors, Alight Motion is developed by Alight Motion. It has a rating of about 3.86 out of 5 from more than 1.19 million reviews, with 100,000,000+ installs. Those figures reflect broad use, while the feature set makes it particularly relevant to users who want mobile-focused motion design rather than only basic video cuts.
