PREQUEL AI Filter Photo Editor

Creative photo and video editing for social content

PREQUEL AI Filter Photo Editor is a mobile photography app for turning ordinary photos and short videos into stylized posts. It suits users who want ready-made visual looks, playful AI effects, and quick adjustments without working through a desktop editing suite. The app is developed by Prequel Inc. and is listed in the Photography category.

Filters, effects, and visual styles

The app combines a broad filter collection with effects inspired by vintage film, VHS, camcorder footage, glitch visuals, Y2K design, and anime-style edits. These presets can change the overall mood of an image with a few taps, while video effects help give clips a more distinctive look for social platforms.

Tools beyond one-tap presets

Users can refine results with controls for light and color, including adjustments aimed at contrast, detail, and depth. PREQUEL also includes AI-assisted face and body editing, along with tools for changing or replacing backgrounds. Batch editing supports applying changes across multiple photos, which can help maintain a consistent appearance across a gallery or post series.

Popularity and overall fit

PREQUEL has passed 50,000,000+ installs and holds a 4.58 rating from 360,979 reviews. Its main appeal is the balance between fast, preset-based editing and more hands-on creative control. It is a practical choice for casual photographers, creators building social posts, and anyone who prefers experimenting with visual effects over making technical corrections from scratch.
